Spurs want United target

Manchester United, 09:46, August 11, 2008 ,

Spurs boss Juande Ramos does not want to sell Dimitar Berbatov to Man Utd but admits the striker might want to move on.

The Red Devils have seemingly backed off in their pursuit of the Bulgaria international with Barcelona star Thierry Henry now rumoured to be a shock target.
Old Trafford chief Sir Alex Ferguson refused to be drawn on his interest in the French international after the penalty shoot-out win over Portsmouth in the Community Shield at Wembley.
But with Spurs valuing Berbatov at around £30m it appears Ramos is set to get his wish and keep hold of his star striker.
"I would be absolutely delighted if Berbatov was still at the club after the end of the transfer window," said Ramos.
"He is a magnificent player and we want to enjoy another season of him at this club. I can't answer on behalf of the player, though."
