Teen ace set for United start
Manchester United, 10:38, November 25, 2009 ,
Young midfielder Darron Gibson is set to start for Manchester United against Besiktas in Wednesday's Champions League Group B clash.
The Republic of Ireland midfielder, who signed a three-year contract at Old Trafford in the summer, is expected to line up for the home clash against the Turkish opponents as United look to seal a victory in their bid to win the group going into the knockout phase.
News of Gibson's involvement comes on the back of Ferguson's admission on Tuesday that teenage duo Danny Welbeck and Federico Macheda would also probably feature at some stage.
Rio Ferdinand's back injury will keep him on the sidelines, while Jonny Evans is also out so Wes Brown is expected to partner Nemanja Vidic in the heart of defence. Gary Neville could also feature at right-back after being banned for Saturday's 3-0 win against Everton.
