Tigers make Utd bid
Manchester United, 12:47, August 30, 2008 ,
Reports claim Hull have made a 'substantial offer' to Manchester United for striker Frazier Campbell ahead of Monday's deadline.
The 20-year-old, who started United's opening game against Newcastle, spent a successful loan spell at the KC Stadium last season - scoring 15 goals as the Tigers won promotion.
Although Hull boss Phil Brown had stated he would be keen to sign Campbell on a permanent basis, United had always indicated that they want to keep the young forward.
But despite Campbell's inclusion in United's squad to play Zenit St Petersburg in the Super Cup final, there is mounting speculation he may be allowed to leave should Sir Alex Ferguson seal a deal for Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov.
Meanwhile, Hull are also expected to seal a loan deal for former United defender Paul McShane before the transfer window closes at midnight on Monday.
