United in double Italian deal talks
United are in advanced talks to sign Italian teenagers Alberto Masacci and Manuel Pucciarelli from Empoli.
Masacci, 16, is a midfielder who has been tracked by United scouts for a while and arrives, like Federico Macheda and Giuseppe Rossi before him, via a loophole which prevents Italian youngsters signing for clubs in their homeland before their 16th birthday.
Striker Pucciarelli, 18, would be a surprise capture because he had already signed professional terms with the Serie B club.
United are also ready to announce the signing of 16-year-old defender Michele Fornasier from Fiorentina to further bolster the Italian flavour in the Old Trafford youth set-up.
