Manchester United new boy Nick Powell has spoken of his delighted at his big money move from Crewe and can't wait to get started.

The highly-rated teenager completed his switch to the Premier League side on Tuesday for a fee thought to be in the region of £4m after enjoying a particularly impressive campaign last term to help the Railwaymen win promotion from League Two. Powell is expected to team-up with the Red Devils on their pre-season tour of South Africa and China although he may find himself loaned back soon afterwards to continue his footballing education. United are convinced the 18-year-old can fulfil his massive potential at Old Trafford after handing him a four-year contract and the player himself is determined to repay Sir Alex Ferguson's faith in him. "It really is a dream come true to be signing for Manchester United," said Powell. "I have had a great time at Crewe and would like to thank them for helping me to develop as a player over the past 13 years. "I'm excited about continuing my development with Sir Alex and the world-class players in the squad. The thought of making the step up to the Premier League next year is an exciting prospect. I can't wait to get started."
