United on trail of Euro duo

United have been linked with Italy Under-19 striker Domenica Berardi and Dinamo Zagreb prodigy Alen Halilovic.

Sir Alex Ferguson's scouting network are always on the lookout for emerging talent but there is no suggestion the club are about to make a move for the Sassuolo hitman or the young Croatian ace. Berardi has only played two games this season and scored one goal, but his side sit top of Serie B and United want to make sure they have him checked out before their rivals arrive on the scene. The youngster was in the Italy Under-19 side that beat Portugal on Tuesday but did not find the net. Halilovic scored a hat-trick for the Dinamo Zagreb youth side in a 6-2 win at the weekend and has been compared favourably to Luka Modric by coaches at the club. He has not yet made his senior debut for the club who his father played for, yet has been linked to both United and Real Madrid.
