Wayne Rooney is reportedly looking to return to action in Manchester United's FA Cup replay against West Ham next Wednesday.
The 27-year-old England international has not featured for the Red Devils in a fortnight since picking up a knee injury in a training session on Christmas Day.
Rooney has subsequently missed four games and is also poised to miss this weekend's massive televised encounter against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
However he has been making good progress in training and it is being suggested that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will aim to give him some game time against the Hammers in the third round replay at Old Trafford in just over a week's time.
There could be an extra boost from the treatment room for the game against Sam Allardyce's side as Nani will also return to fitness in time for the FA Cup fixture having struggled with hamstring trouble of late.
