Welbeck can go far - Taylor
Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck can develop into a top-level striker, according to players' union boss Gordon Taylor.
The 21-year-old, who has scored 11 goals this season, has been named on a six-man shortlist for the Professional Footballers' Association Young Player of the Year award.
Taylor is pleased to see Welbeck establishing himself at Old Trafford after returning from a successful loan at Sunderland.
PFA chief executive Taylor said: "To be at a club like Manchester United and to have the benefit from playing with players like Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes, along with Ryan Giggs, can only bring confidence.
"When you get the type of service that team can provide for a striker, he is in the very best place for his career at this moment in time. Everything is looking good."
