Mikel Arteta's late goal saw Arsenal secure victory against a ten-man QPR side that finished strongly.

Arsenal enjoyed the better first-half possession but created few chances. Aaron Ramsey's flicked header from Bacary Sagna's cross grazed the crossbar while the returning Jack Wilshere's strike was spilled by Julio Cesar. That was before Olivier Giroud's shot on the angle was pushed away by the QPR keeper.
Ranger's best first-half chance was a driven effort from Shaun Wright Phillips that flew wide.
Santi Cazorla had a great opportunity to break the deadlock after the break but hit his first-time effort over the crossbar when well placed.
Two minutes later, QPR were reduced to ten men when Stephane Mbia was adjudged to have kicked out at Thomas Vermaelen.
Arsenal took advantage of their superior numbers when they made the breakthrough with six minutes remaining, Arteta heading home from close range after Cesar made a great save from Giroud, only to see the ball fall back to the Spaniard.
With minutes remaining, QPR went close to taking a point, substitute Jamie Mackie beating two men before bringing a great save out of Vito Mannone. Esteban Granero also threatened with a free-kick.
However, Arsenal held on as the Gunners got back to winning ways, albeit not too convincingly.
