Birmingham City 1-1 Manchester United
Match Reports, 19:56, January 9, 2010 ,
Manchester United missed out on the chance to go top of the table but came from behind to claim a point at in-form Birmingham.
The champions will be glad to come away with a share of the spoils after a spirited Birmingham performance, which means they have now gone 12 games without defeat.
Blues took the lead against the run of play six minutes from the break as Lee Bowyer nodded the ball down into the path of Cameron Jerome, who turned it home from six yards.
It took until just after the hour mark for the visitors to level matters, Patrice Evra firing a low cross from the left across the six yard line and Scott Dann turned it into his own net with Wayne Rooney lurking at the far post.
United were reduced to ten men late on, when Darren Fletcher was dismissed with five minutes to go after picking his second yellow card of the match from Mark Clattenburg, following a foul on Jerome.
