Tottenham were denied victory at St Andrews' after Liam Ridgewell's late strike cancelled out Jermaine Defoe's opener.

Birmingham have proved a tough nut crack at St Andrews this season but Redknapp's Tottenham probably had just enough of the game to have deserved the victory in an entertaining game, only to be denied by Liam Ridgewell's 91st minute strike.
Tottenham were the better of the two sides in the opening exchanges, but it was Birmingham who created the first chance in the fourth minute. James McFadden cross found Lee Bowyer who saw his effort well saved low to his right by Heurelho Gomes.
Luka Modric then had a great chance put the visitors in front after David Bentley's deflected shot ended up running into his path. He drilled the ball low but put the ball just wide of the post from 10 yards.
As the match headed into the final 20 minutes and looked to be heading towards a stalemate, the visitors got their noses in front. Gareth Bale, who was enjoying a fine afternoon, crossed from the left. The ball was met by Crouch who found Defoe and the England striker made no mistake with his finish from 10 yards.
The goal seemed to spur Birmingham on, who enjoyed their best spell of the game as Spurs started to sit deeper looking to hold their lead, but just as it was looking like time was running out for Alex McLeish's side, Ridgewell popped up with the equaliser. McFadden's cross found Cameron Jerome who headed the ball across goal for Ridgewell to bundle into the back of the net.
