Birmingham substitute Kevin Phillips secured victory for Alex McLeish's side with a late brace after Wolves opened the scoring.

Wolves took the lead towards the end of the first half but second half substitute Phillips struck two late volleys to turn the game on its head and win the game for Birmingham, leaving Wolves in the drop zone.
Birmingham could have led within six minutes of kick-off as Liam Ridgewell flicked on a corner and Cameron Jerome turned it goalbound but Michael Mancienne headed it off the line.
The opener came three minutes from halftime as Matt Jarvis' cross ricocheted off Roger Johnson, struck the base of the post and fell kindly for Kevin Doyle who slid in to send the ball into the roof of the net and put Wolves ahead.
Wolves were looking to defend their lead but with ten minutes to go, after coming on for Christian Benitez, Kevin Phillips volleyed home from six yards after Craig Gardner headed a Keith Fahey centre back across goal.
Five minutes later the turn around was completed as Stephen Carr broke down the touchline to cross for Phillips who chested the ball down and struck a volley into the corner leaving keeper Marcus Hahnemann with no chance.
