Birmingham City 2-2 Everton

Match Reports, 17:08, March 13, 2010

Birmingham fought back from two goals down against Everton to earn a point in an entertaining clash at St Andrew's.

Everton started the game in confident mood and it was no surprise when they took the lead in the 19th minute, Victor Anichebe sending an unstoppable drive past Joe Hart into the top corner. Their lead was doubled four minutes later when Stephen Pienaar's cross found Yakubu who headed home at the far post.
Birmingham finally roused themselves and pulled a goal back in the 26th minute, Cameron Jerome getting the faintest of touches on Keith Fahey's cross. Both sides spurned further chances but it remained 2-1 to the visitors at the break.
Birmingham were level six minutes into the second half, Craig Gardner scoring his first goal for Blues - driving home from the edge of the area after Jerome's flick on.
