Match Reports, 17:06, November 7, 2009 ,
Jason Roberts was the Blackburn hero as he grabbed two second-half goals in a dramatic turn around at Ewood Park.
After Jamie O'Hara had put Portsmouth in front early on Rovers looked out of ideas up to the break but changes from boss Sam Allardyce made a significant difference after the break.
It took just fifteen minutes for the deadlock to be broken as Jamie O'Hara struck a fierce effort low into the bottom corner from long range, the shot skidded off the slippery surface and beat keeper Paul Robinson to give Portsmouth the lead.
Pascal Chimbonda could have seen red ten minutes before the break after he raised his hands to Jamie O'Hara but managed to escape with just a caution.
Jason Roberts' introduction at the break made an almost immediate impact as he swiveled and shot instinctively to turn home a David Dunn corner and level the scores with fifty-three minutes on the clock.
With eighteen minutes to go Blackburn skipper Ryan Nelsen met another Dunn corner with a thumping header that flew into the top corner and put the home side in front.
The comeback was caped with four minutes to go as another half-time substitute Benni McCarthy crossed to find Roberts who again made no mistake in finding the net with a fine finish from twelve yards.
Portsmouth remain bottom after a disappointing defeat but the three points for Blackburn sends them into thirteenth and makes it four consecutive home league wins.
