Chelsea 2-1 Everton

Match Reports, 17:27, May 30, 2009 ,

Chelsea have won the FA Cup in Guus Hiddink's final game in charge thanks to Frank Lampard's fine second-half strike.

Lampard's terrific goal 18 minutes from time sealed a 2-1 win as Chelsea came from behind to ensure a perfect send off for Hiddink on a scorching hot day at Wembley.
Everton had gone in front with the fastest-ever FA Cup final goal when Louis Saha struck after just 25 seconds but Didier Drogba headed home an equaliser mid-way through the first half.
Lampard then struck the winnner from around 25 yards before Florent Malouda and Nicolas Anelka went close to extending the lead late on. The win hands Chelsea their second FA Cup in three years while Everton can reflect on a fine season - finishing runners-up in the competition to add to a fifth-place Premier League finish.
