Goals from Arturo Vidal and Fabio Quagliarella were enough to cancel out Oscar's brace as Juventus and Chelsea drew at Stamford Bridge.
The game started with very few chances until the game sprung to life on the half-hour mark, when Oscar drove a shot towards goal which took a slight deflection on its way to beating Gianluigi Buffon.
In a whirlwind two minutes Oscar doubled his goalscoring account thanks to a wonderful curling effort, which put the home side firmly in control of the Champions League encounter.
However it was not long before Juventus halved Chelsea's lead when Vidal produced a fine first touch before firing the ball past Petr Cech on 38 minutes.
Like the first, the second half had limited chances but it was the visitors who managed to pull themselves level in the capital in the 81st minute, as substitute Quagliarella was played through on goal before slotting the ball past Cech.
Quagliarella almost stole the show with a late winner but his curling effort struck the crossbar and Chelsea managed to hold on to share the points in the first game of their Champions League campaign.
