Everton 2-2 West Ham United

An injury-time equaliser from Marouane Fellaini leaves West Ham bottom of the tsble after an all-action clash at Goodison Park.

Jonathan Spector put the Hammers ahead against the run of play when he steered home Luis Boa Morte's cross on 26 minutes. The goal spurred the visitors on and it was Everton who looked like the bottom club with Frederic Piquionne almost doubling the scoreline before the interval when his close-range header hit the inside of the post.
Super-sub Diniyar Bilyaletdinov levelled for the Toffees mid-way through the second half when his fine left-footed strike found the bottom corner. Seamus Coleman then missed a glorious opportunity when he lifted a shot over the bar with the goal gaping.
An 84th-minute headed goal from Piquionne then started a frantic end to the game. The forward's celebrations were muted as he received his marching orders for jumping into the travelling crowd. It was referee Peter Walton's fifth red card in as many games and will be argued as a turning point in the game from the East Londoners as the towering Fellaini scored in dramatic fashion.
Avram Grant would have taken a point before the game and will be pleased with the spirited performance from his players but will still be disappointed with the final scoreline. The hosts meanwhile were booed off at the final whistle despite the rousing finale.
