Fulham 2-0 West Bromwich Albion
Match Reports, 15:55, February 22, 2009 ,
Goals from Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson secured a 2-0 win for Fulham in an entertaining contest against West Brom at Craven Cottage.
The Cottagers dominated much of the game, hitting the cross bar three times before taking the lead.
In the first half Danny Murphy, twice, and Clint Dempsey were denied by the woodwork, but Fulham's persistence was rewarded when Zamora tapped home Paintsil's cross on the hour.
Strike partner Johnson got in on the act 10 minutes later, finishing after keeper Scott Carson could only parry Zamora's initial effort.
Mark Schwarzer added to West Brom's misery in stoppage time when he saved Roman Bednar's penalty after Brede Hangeland's infringement.
The win moves Fulham up to eighth and leaves the Baggies rooted to the foot of the table.
