Match Reports, 19:52, February 20, 2010 ,
Salif Diao's injury time winner made sure that ten men Stoke took all three points to condemn Portsmouth to yet another defeat.
The opening goal came after thirty-four minutes as Quincy Owusu-Abeyie broke down the left hand side, played a one-two with Jamie O'Hara, and then forced a good save from Thomas Sorensen. The rebound fell for Frederic Piquionne who slid in to turn the ball home and put the home side ahead.
Just five minutes after the break the scores were level as Glenn Whelan's corner was headed home by Robert Huth after he had got the better of Marc Wilson in the air.
Andy Wilkinson was dismissed with fifteen minutes to play as he hauled down Aruna Dindane for the second time in five minutes and earned himself his second booking of the game in the process.
With the one man advantage Portsmouth were pressing for a winner but Diao snatched the victory with a late goal, sliding in to convert Ricardo Fuller's cross from the right.
