Robin van Persie's second half header sealed Arsenal's 3-1 FA Cup third-round replay win at Leeds United.
The Gunners' substitute headed a Nicklas Bendtner right-wing cross beyond Whites' keeper Kasper Schmeichel at the back post on 76 minutes to kill off the tie and booked the Gunners a fourth round date against League One side Huddersfield at the Emirates Stadium. Arsene Wenger's side had threatened to run away with the tie in the first half after Samir Nasri coolly finished inside the area after just five minutes. And, following a succession of missed opportunities for the Londoners, Bacary Sagna's fierce drive on 35 minutes which Schmeichel could only help into the far corner of the net, looked to have settled the issue. However Bradley Johnson smashed an unstoppable 25-yard left-foot drive into the top corner two minutes later to get Leeds back into the contest. Simon Grayson's men pressed for an equaliser after the break, but Van Persie's goal ended their hopes of pulling off an FA Cup shock.
