Swansea City 3-2 Arsenal
Match Reports, 18:20, January 15, 2012
Swansea City earned a thrilling 3-2 victory at home to Arsenal, with Danny Graham scoring what proved to be the winning goal.
Michel Vorm, Stephen Caulker, Joe Allen and Scott Sinclair all returned for the hosts, while the Gunners had skipper Robin van Persie back to lead the line, but were missing Mikel Arteta due to a calf strain.
Van Persie took just five minutes to make his mark, running on to a fine pass from Andrey Arshavin before expertly finding the back of the net, with Michel Vorm well beaten at his near post.
Just over ten minutes later City drew level after Aaron Ramsey brought down Nathan Dyer in the area and Scott Sinclair confidently converted from the penalty spot.
On the half-hour mark Vorm made a smart save to deny Van Persie as he broke through again, this time from Benayoun's astute pass.
The rest of the half belonged to Swansea, although Dyer's long-range effort, which brought a regulation stop from Wojciech Szczesny, was the closest they came to taking the lead.
Just over ten minutes into the second half City were in font as Joe Allen gained possession and fed Dyer, who ran on to drive a shot into the far corner of the net beyond Szczesny.
With a little over 20 minutes to play it was 2-2 as Johan Djourou's long pass played in Theo Walcott, who lifted his finish over the advancing Vorm.
However, just over 60 seconds later Swansea were back in front as sub Gylfi Sigurdsson fed Graham and he finished well past the hesitant Szczesny.
Arsenal pushed forward in the closing stages in a bid to rescue at least a point, but they were unable to do so and City celebrated another famous win at the final whistle.
