Mido wasted a gilt-edged chance to claim maximum points for Wigan in a drab affair as Fulham continued their search for an away win.
The Egyptian forward was guilty of missing what looked like a simple header when six yards from goal after getting on the end of a Maynor Figueroa cross, sending the ball inches wide of Mark Schwarzer's goal.
Both sides managed to cancel each other for much of the game with Fulham's best opportunities falling to Bobby Zamora, whose powerful drive was saved brilliantly by Chris Kirkland 17 minutes into the game.
The former West Ham forward was then gifted another chance from a Simon Davies corner just before half time but could only flick his header up and over the bar from six yards as neither side managed to break the deadlock.
