Wigan Athletic 1-2 Fulham
Wigan old boy Hugo Rodallega comes back to haunt his old club as he scores to help Fulham win at the DW stadium.
Wigan started the brighter as Arouna Kone forced Mark Schwarzer into a save after just 30 seconds, but Fulham gradually got a foothold into the game and took the lead on half an hour.
Dimitar Berbatov found himself in space and delivered a cross to the backpost, where Rodallega was waiting to head into the roof of the net from eight yards.
The away side doubled their lead in the second half when a swift counter attack, coupled with some dreadful Wigan defending, resulted in Damien Duff firing home unmarked.
Wigan tried to mount a fightback, with Ryo Miyaichi impressing when coming on, and in injury time they pulled one back when Arouna Kone squeezed home a shot after Fulham failed to clear a corner, though this just proved to be a consolation after Fulham held on for the win.
