Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 Bolton Wanderers
Match Reports, 17:40, December 5, 2009 ,
Goals from Jody Craddock and Nenad Milijas secure only Wolves' third win of the season to lift them off the bottom of the league.
34-year-old Craddock gave a dream start to Mick McCarthy's side as he smashed home an opener within three minutes. Suspicions of offside surrounded the goal as Craddock latched onto Christophe Berra's header, but the officials saw nothing wrong.
There were no doubts with Serbian Milijas' first goal for the club however as he beat Jussi Jaaskelainen all ends up with a stunning 30-yard strike.
The goal came against the run of play as Bolton dominated the second-half, Ivan Klasnic left frustrated by the seemingly unbeatable Marcus Hahnemann.
An attacking substitution from Gary Megson paid off when Johan Elmander bundled the ball home twelve minutes from time to give the Wanderers a glimmer of hope, but the hosts hung on to claim a much need win.
