Tatsuma Ito says he has modelled his game on former US star Andre Agassi as he eyes a shock French Open win over Andy Murray.
The Japanese player takes on British number one Murray in the first round of the Grand Slam event and few give the 24-year-old any chance of victory.
However, the world number 68 has vowed to play an aggressive game in the mould of Agassi and test the Scot, who has ongoing fitness issues amid concerns over a back injury.
Ito said: "Agassi was so aggressive on the return and had good ground strokes. I try to play like him. I like to be aggressive, to be powerful from the back of the court.
"Andy is a great player but I will try to do my best and be aggressive on every point."
He added: "I played doubles against him last year in Japan and all I remember is he has a good serve. But doubles is not like singles."
