Former German tennis star Boris Becker believes Britain's Andy Murray should consider pulling out of the French Open this month.
The second Grand Slam of the season gets underway at Roland Garros on Sunday and Murray heads into the major competition with an irritating back injury.
With the Scot looking out of sorts in his defeat to Richard Gasquet in Rome last week, questions have been raised over the Scot's fitness ahead of the French Open.
Becker believes Murray has bigger fish to fry later this season, with Wimbledon and the London Olympics to look forward to and so should consider giving himself a break to recover.
He told the Daily Telegraph: "Back pain is a disaster on clay. On any other surface you can handle it because you can finish matches quickly, but on clay you have to be ready to play for two or three hours every day.
"So if he has no realistic chance of winning a grand slam title, why not get some rest?
"With Wimbledon and the Olympics coming up, that is two big reasons for Andy to think about his long-term health."
