Novak Djokovic has made it through to the semi-finals of the Toronto Masters after playing back-to-back games on Friday due to rain.
The ATP event has been broken up severely by rain and the Serb was in action twice on Friday after Thursday was a wash-out. The 25-year-old beat American Sam Querrey 6-4 6-4 and then four hours later had to do it all again against Germany's Tommy Haas - that match lasting two-and-a-half hours - and the former world number one ground out a 6-3 3-6 6-3 victory. Djokovic will now face compatriot Janko Tipsarevic for a place in the final after Tipsarevic knocked out Croatia's Marin Cillic 6-2 6-4 and then beat Marcel Granollers of Spain in straight sets. The other semi-final sees Frenchman Richard Gasquet and American John Isner go head-to-head.
