Federer out of Wimbledon

Men's Tennis, 17:22, June 30, 2010 ,

Roger Federer has revealed he was troubled by back and leg injuries after crashing out of Wimbledon.

The six-times champion at SW19 lost to Tomas Berdych in four sets, 6-4 3-6 6-1 6-4, to make his exit at the quarter-final stage of the tournament.
Berdych had lost eight out of 10 matches with the Swiss prior to Wednesday's Centre Court showdown but he turned that record on its head.
However, Federer, the defending champion, said afterwards that there were mitigating circumstances.
"I'm unhappy with the way I'm playing. I couldn't play the way I wanted to play," he said.
"I am struggling with a little bit of a back and a leg issue. That just doesn't quite allow me to play the way I would like to play.
"So it's frustrating, to say the least. I'm looking forward to some rest anyway."
