World number four Andy Murray has admitted he was relieved to wrap up his third round struggle against Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis.
The British hope endured a three hour, 13 minute battle on Centre Court but eventually managed to book his place in the fourth round of the SW19 tournament with a 7-5 3-6 7-5 6-1 win.
Murray and Baghdatis finished their seemingly endless clash at 23:02 on Saturday night and the 25-year-old Scot was delighted to progress in the competition.
He said: "I was under the impression I was stopping at 11 (23:00 BST) regardless of what the score was - even if it was in the middle of a game.
"I am obviously glad I managed to get the finish. The atmosphere at the end was excellent."
Marin Cilic is lying in wait for Murray in the fourth round on Monday, as the Brit hopes to go one more step closer to securing his first Grand Slam title.
