World number one Serena Williams is in danger of missing the US Open after cutting her foot in a restaurant last week.

Williams will definitely miss three WTA tournaments, in Istanbul, Cincinnati and Montreal, in the build up to the US Grand Slam event after having surgery on her right foot after cutting it on broken glass.
She said: "I'm so upset I won't be able to play in the upcoming events.
"I can't wait to get back on the courts."
The US Open gets underway at Flushing Meadows at the end of August, with Williams in a race against time to be fit for the last Slam of the season.
