Boss assures new boy

Gareth Southgate has assured summer signing Marvin Emnes he will get his chance at the Riverside despite having not yet featured.
The Dutch under-21-star, a £3.2m signing from Sparta Rotterdam, has yet to feature for the first team this season but Southgate says it is only a matter of time before he makes the starting line up and that he was brought in for the long term.
Southgate told the Gazette: "I think Marvin has been very unfortunate since he came here.
"He had a couple of very good games in pre-season but then he picked up an injury.
"He had a couple of niggles when he went away with the Dutch Under-21s.
"Then he took another knock a couple of weeks ago before a reserve game.
"He seems to be OK now, but it's been a stop-start season for him."
