Brucie eyes Johnson bonus

Middlesbrough, 12:52, November 3, 2009 ,

Sunderland are reported to be closing in on a £3million swoop for Middlesbrough wing ace Adam Johnson.

Johnson has been a revelation for Boro this season when chipping in with nine goals in all competitions and Black Cats boss Steve Bruce wants him at the Stadium of Light.
Reports now claim that talks have already taken place between the two clubs over a deal for the winger and a deal could be pushed through when the transfer window opens.
Boro would love to keep hold of the player but will have to decide whether to take the cash in January or make him stay in the hope he helps fire the club back into the Premiership.
