England ace linked with switch

Middlesbrough winger Stuart Downing is again being linked with a move away from club with a host of Premiership clubs after him.
Weekend reports claimed the England winger has held showdown talks with Boro boss Gareth Southgate because of recent disagreements with the coaching staff about his role in the side. And, despite signing a new five year deal earlier this year, he may be pushing for a move when the transfer window opens in January.
If that is the case, then Everton will head a list of clubs who will be looking to take the player with Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa all linked with a move for the England winger during the summer.
Southgate would be reluctant to allow him to leave the Riverside but there have been reports of him being unsettled for the past couple of years and, with a ready made replacement in Adam Johnson, Southgate may decide it is time to cash in on the player if indeed he is unsettled.
