Fresh striker worry
Middlesbrough, 11:44, October 13, 2008 ,
Egyptian striker Mido has picked up a groin strain and is already a doubt ahead of the clash with Chelsea on Saturday.
It is the latest international blow for boss Gareth Southgate who must fear the worst when his players head away for international duty as they appear to pick up injuries every time.
Mido missed his country's clash with Djibouti at the weekend and their team doctor Ahmed Maged said: "Mido is suffering from a groin problem.
"He was been left out of Egypt's 18-man squad for the Djibouti match."
Southgate will now await his return to the Riverside but if he is ruled out of the Chelsea game the boss could push Jeremie Aliadiere up-front to play alongside Afonso Alves. However Tuncay Sanli, who picked up a knee injury playing for Turkey in September, might be fit to return.
