Germans to keep tabs on Huth's progress

Middlesbrough, 12:29, June 2, 2009 ,

Middlesbrough defender Robert Huth is set to be watched by several scouts from German clubs when he plays for his country in Dubia.

The 24-year-old, who was linked to Bundesliga outfit Hannover on Monday, could have a growing number of suitors if he continues to impress in the German national team against the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday evening. Huth did very well in central defence last week as he played the full 90 minutes of a friendly against China and it is thought several clubs could offer him a chance to return to his homeland this summer should he shine again in the second friendly clash.
Boro have not officially put Huth up for sale but would no doubt consider any offers for the player, who cost £6million from Chelsea in 2006, as boss Gareth Southgate plans big changes to his squad ahead of the Championship season in August.
