Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has hinted that striker Curtis Main could leave The Riverside on a loan deal.

Boro have a number of potential first team forwards in the squad and Mowbray believes it will be beneficial for Main to go out on loan. Currently, the young front man isn't even guaranteed a place on the bench and has found himself surplus to requirements with Marvin Emnez, Lukas Jutkiewicz and Luke Williams improving all the time. However, Main will have to wait to recover from an injury before he can be considered to move away from the club on a temporary basis. The 20-year-old is expected to be sought after by many of the League One and Two sides as he is hungry for first team football and growing increasingly frustrated at being left out of Mowbray's match day squads.
