Mido denies Besiktas move
Middlesbrough, 14:25, January 15, 2009 ,
Middlesbrough striker Mido has rubbished reports that he will be leaving the club to join Turkish side Besiktas.
Whilst not officially for sale, Boro are thought to be ready to listen to offers for the Egyptian striker and he himself has declared that he would be happy to leave but only if it were for another Premiership club.
Mido has suffered with injuries all season which have made first team opportunities limited but he has still netted five goals for the club.
He told the Gazette: "No-one has spoken with me about an offer from Besiktas, and I am not interested in playing in Turkey anyway.
"It surprises me why my name is usually mentioned in the Turkish media. Last season they claimed I was going Fenerbahce as well.
"I am willing to remain in the Premier League. If Boro agreed to sell me to an English club then I will go, otherwise I am staying for now."
