O'Neil doubtful for London Road trip

Middlesbrough, 11:24, November 27, 2009

Middlesbrough captain Gary O'Neil is a doubt ahead of Boro's trip to Peterborough as he struggles with a groin strain.

However, Boro boss Gordon Strachan is hopeful his new skipper, who replaced David Wheater as captain, will pass a late fitness test and be available for the trip to London Road.

Defender Chris Riggott could be in line for a return after recovering from ankle surgery, although Rhys Williams will miss out after picking up his fifth booking of the season in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Boro have a lengthy injury list going into the tie with the league's bottom club with Seb Hines (knee), Caleb Folan (hamstring), Andrew Taylor (ankle ligaments), Matthew Bates (cruciate ligament) and Jeremie Aliadiere (ankle) all unavailable.
