Strikers linked with switch.
Middlesbrough, 10:56, January 19, 2009 ,
Middlesbrough are being linked with a switch for Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood and at the same time could offload Mido.
The Egyptian striker has had a miserable time with injuries since joining the club from Spurs for £6m and has only started 13 games since arriving at the Riverside in August 2007.
Boro have already tried to swap Mido for Newcastle United striker Alan Smith but to no avail and now they are set to turn their attentions to Harewood who looks almost certain to leave Villa this month where he has found first team opportunities very hard to come by.
Mido said last week that he would be happy to find another Premiership club but ruled out a move to Turkey, he said: "I am willing to remain in the Premier League. If Boro agreed to sell me to an English club then I will go, otherwise I am staying for now."
