Turnbull waits for talks to start

Middlesbrough, 11:59, October 28, 2008 ,

Middlesbrough's first-choice goalkeeper Ross Turnbull says he is concentrating on his game and will let others sort out his contract.

The 22-year-old's current deal runs out at the end of the season and although he sees his future at the Riverside he has admitted that talks over a new contract have not yet started.
Boss Gareth Southgate has already indicated that he will be rewarded, along with number two Brad Jones, with a new deal and Turnbull is in no rush to rock the boat and believes a new deal will be forthcoming.
Asked if any progress has been made on resolving his future, Turnbull told the Gazette: "No, nothing has been said.
"To be honest I'm just concentrating on playing football, that's all I want to do. I'll let other people sort those things out. There's been no talks as yet.
"I love it here, I enjoy playing football here, the lads are great, the manager's great and staying here is something I would like to do.
"Whether it (the contact) gets sorted out before Christmas or after Christmas I don't know, but I'll let people other than myself look at that."
