Lions full-back agrees new deal

Millwall defender Jack Smith has agreed a new one-year contract extension with the club.

The versatile 28-year-old will remain at The Den until summer 2014 having initially joined the club back in 2009. Smith was a regular in Kenny Jacket's squad last term and ended the campaign as first choice right-back. "It was nice for the gaffer to offer me a new deal," Smith told the club's official website. "It was a much more enjoyable season for me last year because I was playing more. "I am delighted to have signed a 12-month extension to my contract and look forward to building on our positive end to last season when the new one starts in August."
