Mkandawire misses rest of season

Millwall midfielder Tamika Mkandawire has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The 28-year-old has been sidelined since November with a knee injury and had to undergo a second minor operation this week. Lions physio Bobby Bacic told the club website: "Tam underwent a very small second procedure this week to remove the internal stitches in his knee. "In some cases the stitches are left in the knee and this was the original plan with him. "However, the surgeon decided to remove them once the original injury had healed as the stitches were irritating the joint, causing intermittent swelling to appear in the knee. "This means that although Tam may rejoin training before the end of the month, he will not be match ready this season."
