Baldock bid accepted but Gleeson move blocked

Peterborough have had a new bid for MK Dons striker Sam Baldock accepted, but another offer for midfielder Stephen Gleeson has been rejected.

Posh had an approach for Baldock turned down at the start of the month, as well as a later bid for both Dons players rebuffed.The new offer for Baldock matches the League One club's valuation of the player and Peterborough have been granted permission to talk to the 22-year-old.However, a statement on MK Dons' official website said: "We can confirm we have received bids with improved terms from Peterborough for Stephen Gleeson and Sam Baldock."While we have rejected any proposal for Stephen, a club record bid for Sam, which now matches our valuation, has been reluctantly accepted and Peterborough have accordingly been given permission to speak to him regarding a potential transfer to London Road."
