Lasley keen to impress new coaches

Motherwell, 13:52, January 14, 2010 ,

Motherwell's Keith Lasley has admitted that without the managerial change at the club he may well have been looking for a move.

Lasley, who has played over 200 times for the Fir Park outfit, found himself out of the picture under former boss Jim Gannon, but the midfielder is now positive about his future after the appointment of temporary coaches Craig Brown and Archie Knox.
He says it was frustrating knowing he wasn't going to be involved when Gannon was in charge but is now going to do everything he can to impress and get back into the side.
He told the club's website: "I would have started looking elsewhere but with a new gaffer coming in, I can try and force my way back into contention.
"I certainly didn't have any dialogue with anyone, it was just in my mind that if I wasn't going to be involved, it would be difficult for me to stay."
