McGhee admits likely exit

Motherwell, 14:54, November 14, 2008 ,

Mark McGhee admits Chris Porter is likely to leave Motherwell in January but insists that no bids have yet been made for the player.

The 24-year-old, who moved to Fir Park from Oldham in the summer of July 2007, has been linked with a move to English Championship side Sheffield United.
McGhee can understand why clubs would be interested in Porter, but says that he is yet to receive an offer for the striker but expects approaches soon.
McGhee told the BBC: "If there are suitors out there, we'll speak to the players as and when that happens.
"He came here trying to get himself a move to the bigger time and money in England. That's what he's here for and we are benefiting from that."
