Mike Ashley is thought to be close to selling Newcastle United with a Nigerian group among the front runners to pull off a £350m deal.
Sources close to the Magpies owner have indicated that a deal may happen before the middle of next week, with it not impossible that there could be major developments over the weekend.
Ashley is looking to get out of Newcastle and was thought to be holding on to make a double-his-money profit of £200m on the club, with the asking price set at over £400m.
But the latest rumours claim that he could be ready to accept an offer of £350million to relinquish control now, with Nigerian group NVA the most recent party to firm up their interest.
