Newcastle defender Steven Taylor has committed his future to the club and stated his ambition to earn a new deal.
The former England Under-21 international looked to be on his way out of St James' Park after a training ground bust-up in March resulted in him sustaining a broken jaw.
Everton and Fulham since have been linked with the defender, who only has one year left on his current deal, but Taylor insists he is happy at the newly promoted Magpies and hopes to earn himself a new contract.
"What I can say about it (the training ground bust-up) is don't believe everything you've read and heard," said the 24 year-old.
"We have a fantastic team bond and everyone is happy. I've not got a problem with anyone at the club.
"I'm happy at Newcastle United, I've got another year left here and I just want to get back playing again.
"Hopefully the new contract will get sorted. I've got a year left and my agent is in talks with the club. I've left it to him."
