Enrique blow for Magpies

Newcastle United, 10:18, April 28, 2009 ,

Alan Shearer has admitted that Newcastle will be without Jose Enrique at Liverpool after he hurt his hamstring against Portsmouth.

The Magpies boss watched his side fail to pick up maximum points against Pompey at St James' Park on Monday as they were held to a 0-0 draw in what was billed as a 'must-win' game. And, as Newcastle sit in the third-bottom relegation place and three points adrift of safety with four games remaining, left-back Enrique could be sidelined for the rest of the season.
The Spaniard, who had just returned from a knee problem against Pompey, limped off with a hamstring injury in the first half of the action. And Shearer confirmed he will almost certainly miss Sunday's trip to face title hopefuls Liverpool at Anfield.
He said: "We don't know how much of a blow it will be - he will have a scan on it and we'll know more. My experience of hamstrings suggests he'll be out this weekend."
