Keeper is tops - Kinnear

Shay Given has been described as the best goalkeeper in the Premier League by Newcastle's interim manager Joe Kinnear.
The 32-year-old Republic of Ireland international was in excellent form on Saturday as the Magpies secured an unlikely point in a goalless draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. And, following an outstanding save to deny Frank Lampard in particular, Kinnear was quick to dish out the glowing praise to Given.
He said: "In my opinion, and indeed in the eyes of a lot of people, and with due respect to the likes of Petr Cech and Edwin van de Sar, we have the top goalkeeper in the Premier League in Shay Given.
"Our game plan was built around the fact that we knew we did not have to concede an early goal, and Shay's save from Frank Lampard was out of this world and seemed to inspire the defenders in front of him.
"When something out of the ordinary happens you need a great keeper, and Shay's reaction save so early in the game was nothing short of superb."
