Magpies star in new Villa plea
Newcastle United, 16:49, January 26, 2009 ,
Charles N'Zogbia says Newcastle are pricing him out of a move away with Aston Villa waiting in the wings to pounce.
Villa boss Martin O'Neill has been strongly linked with a move for the versatile star and N'Zogbia is keen to move on with Arsenal also showing an interest in him.
However, N'Zogbia is becoming increasingly frustrated as he claims the figure the Magpies are looking for is too much and is denying him the chance of playing under O'Neill.
"The clubs that are interested in me remain the same, but it's tough because they are asking for a ridiculous sum of money," N'Zogbia revealed.
"Arsenal and Aston Villa are top teams in the English league, so I'd be happy to join them. I don't have a priority. Both are good clubs, but I have a little preference for Aston Villa.
"They have been improving as a team in the last few years, which proves that they can do well. Aston Villa's manager is a good coach according to my friends I think he could make me better."
